A Short, Quick Glimpse Into My Artwork [Video Inside]

This will be a quick post to show you some of my old artwork back from 2016 to my latest paintings.

I just want to show you that being an artist or living a creative life is an ever-evolving journey.

And I’m just at the beginning of the road, a relatively ‘young’ artist only 4 years onto this path.

You can see from the video that I started with painting different subject matters, including vehicles. 😅

In general they were mostly food and plants.

Eventually, I focused mainly on botanical stuffs.

But who knows, I might decide to change course, perhaps back to food. Or try new a subject matter. Or a new medium. Or a new form of visual art. Who knows?

I don’t think there will be an end point for me. May be that’s how an artist’s journey is; there will never be a final destination.

It’s a lifetime of wandering and seeking for joy.

Hope you enjoy this short glimpse into the ‘history’ of my art.

My watercolor artwork from 2016 to now.

Painted a few in 2016, didn’t paint any in 2017. Then started to paint regularly, almost everyday in 2018. (Thanks to 100 days challenge and various art prompt challenges on Instagram.) Since then, I’ve never stopped painting. Sometimes I did slow down to focus on something else, e.g. making digital surface patterns, selling printables on Etsy. But watercolor painting is always what I return to after a while.
